Tim Lacey, Director

Tim is highly experienced in the education and voluntary sectors. He joins the Foundation with a wealth of industry knowledge, most recently deployed in his previous role as Head of Employment, Training and Skills at Barnado’s. He has almost 20 years of senior experience, gained from previous roles including Regional Director for Avanta and Sencia, Senior Director of Operations at Skills Training UK, and Chief Operating Officer for Prevista.

Tim joins the Milestone Foundation as the head of commercial development. His focus is on delivering self-sustainability to the Foundation, ensuring the sale of its products and services along with securing grant funding for the operations and development of its initiatives.

Liz Obertelli, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development

Liz has worked with the City of London and the surrounding Boroughs for over 20 years and is a campaigner for localism and community inclusion/cohesion.

She was instrumental in the implementation of the employer agenda for Jobcentre Plus, Shaw Trust and Barnardo's. She also worked on the development of the Land Securities’ employment and skills strategy and led groundbreaking projects within football, education and industry up skilling construction workers with disabilities to become assessors.

Liz is distinguished by her passion for innovative business change to impact social outcomes and business growth. She is an advocate for collaborative working across key sectors to address economic and policy demands.

She considers the success of the disability into construction route-way project with Skanska and UCATT, which had mental health rehabilitation at the core, as one of the highlights of her career.

Liz worked with Lord Billiamora on the SME strategy for the Department for Work & Pensions and has supported the work of the National Employer Panel in both retail and hospitality.

Liz has joined the Milestone Foundation to use her knowledge and experience within the sector to ensure the Foundation achieves maximum impact.
